To produce carrot granules, carrots are washed, peeled, and cut into pieces. They are then blanched and dried in warm air. Dr. Ziegler’s carrot granules contain natural beta-carotene, which dogs’ bodies can partially convert into vitamin A.
Although cats cannot convert this beta-carotene into vitamin A, the flakes are still a good source of dietary fiber for our four-legged friends.
Beta-carotene does not affect coat color; it is absorbed by the skin, not the hair. This natural BARF supplement is mixed into the food after being soaked in warm water.
